Before kids, I’ve had a dream job in marketing. I’ve always cared about being fit and healthy – worked out regularly and was really careful about what I put on my plate. Obviously, after my first son was born, the last thing I had on my mind was clean eating and working out. Boy, I was happy when I managed to take a 1-minute shower every other day! 🙂
I didn’t worry about my weight that much because I thought that those extra pounds will just drop off thanks to breastfeeding. Well, they didn’t. I realized this when I saw our family Christmas photos. And believe me, I did not like it at all. Naturally, I was crushed. So I made myself a promise – to give my body healthy fuel so I could feel good in my own skin again. I deserved it. I owed it to my body. So you – dear new mom, struggling with the baby weight – you are not alone!
Deciding to write a blog about my postpartum weight loss journey has been a huge step out of my comfort zone. I still perceive my weight loss struggles to be somehow intimate, so it takes a lot of courage for me to write about them. And because English is not my mother tongue, it gets even more challenging 🙂 But here I am, ready to share with you all I know to help you achieve the new healthier, happier and fitter you!
